ART FOR CHILDREN
At Images For Inclusion we strongly believe that Art is Inclusion. We are committed to giving girls and boys the opportunity to express themselves through the arts. We are planning on creating murals in different vulnerable areas, and writing contests along with a variety of art activities to promote social inclusion.
Our first art for children project was done as part of the Free Professional Family Photos / Family Art Day at Jacob Riis Cornerstone Community Center on Ave D, New York, this past June 12th. This was done with the purpose of entertaining the children while they waited for their family photographs to be printed.
It also was meant to help the children develop their artistic skills and give them the opportunity to be part of a collective art piece. That way we helped elevate their self esteem and trust in their abilities to create something beautiful and meaningful.
IFI will be creating different art activities to encourage children of all ages to express themselves and learn to appreciate art in all its forms.
